We have watched Dili grow up from the same corner of Grilos, and we have hosted the people building it — diplomats, engineers, aid workers, ministers' guests and the occasional adventurer headed for Atauro's reefs.

Great Wall: Cantonese, next door.
In 2016 we opened Great Wall, our own Chinese restaurant, and brought authentic Cantonese cooking to a corner of the world that had never had it. More than fifty dishes, each cooked to order — steamed whole fish Hong Kong style, salted egg yolk prawns, lobster four ways, and the rendangs that give away the chef's Malaysian roots.
